I'm writing this because I feel there are some things that just need to be said. First, "BLACK ON BLACK CRIME". Yes it would be great if black people would not victimize/kill other black people but let us be real and put this in perspective. "WHITE ON WHITE CRIME" has not and will never be used as an excuse for anything and it will never be used to oppress white people. Every race, culture, and religion has people who engage in criminal behavior. Basically, other races kill each other too, it is called murder and it is part of what is called crime. The people who stand up and say that blacks are being hypocritical when they speak out/protest shootings/killing of unarmed black men are doing a true disservice to those who are taking action for change especially when you know the history of our country and the relationship of black communities and police.
 

     We talk about all the socioeconomic factors that lead to blacks killing blacks, I say again let us put this in perspective. There are a lot of us who live in/have lived in and under the same conditions that black people who have killed black people. There is one factor here that stands out to me, regardless of how oppressed, low self esteem, rage or anger is being experienced, that factor is CHOICE! A black person made a choice to kill another black person. The only time anyone has the right to kill anyone is when they are PROTECTING THEIR LIVES OR THEIR LOVED ONES FROM SOMEONE WHO IS IN THE CURRENT ACT OF TRYING TO KILL THEM. Fearing for your life and actually defending off an attack are two different things. BLACK PEOPLE MAKE THE CHOICE NOT TO KILL EACH OTHER I would love to see this because it would mean we would be leading all other races, religions, and cultures that have not done it.
